Terms of Use
Last updated: 13 August 2026
1. What you are agreeing to
By downloading, installing or using the CluePilot.ai application (“the App”) you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, do not use the App.
2. Licence
You are granted a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to install and use the App on Macs you own or control. You may not sell, sublicense or redistribute the App as your own product, or remove its identifying marks.
3. Your account with AI providers
The App is a client. It has no models of its own and no service behind it. To use a hosted provider you supply your own API key, and your use of that provider is governed by their terms and billing, not ours.
You are responsible for the charges your key incurs, including charges from requests you did not intend. Set spending limits with your provider.
4. Honest and permitted use
You agree not to use the App:
- in any examination, certification, interview or assessment that prohibits AI assistance or outside help;
- to misrepresent your experience, qualifications, employment history or identity to an employer or anyone else;
- to defeat, bypass, evade or interfere with proctoring, monitoring or examination-security software;
- for anything unlawful, or in breach of your chosen AI provider's policies.
You alone are responsible for knowing the rules of any assessment you take part in. The App cannot know them.
5. AI output
Answers are generated by a third-party model and may be wrong, outdated, biased or fabricated. Nothing the App produces is professional, legal, financial, medical or employment advice. Verify anything that matters before you rely on it, and certainly before you say it in an interview.
6. Your content
Your questions, your background text and your conversation history are yours. We claim no rights over them, and we never receive them — they go from your Mac to your chosen provider, or nowhere at all. Ownership of model output is determined by your provider's terms.
7. Privacy
The Privacy Policy forms part of these terms.
8. No warranty
The App is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not warrant that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or compatible with every configuration of macOS or every provider API — third-party APIs can and do change without notice.
9. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the publisher of the App is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, nor for lost profits, lost opportunities, lost data, API charges, or the outcome of any interview, examination or hiring decision, arising from your use of the App.
Some jurisdictions do not allow these exclusions; where that is so, they apply only to the extent permitted.
10. Third-party services
The App can connect to services operated by others. Those services are not ours, we do not control them, and we are not responsible for their availability, pricing, accuracy or conduct.
11. Changes
These terms may change. The date at the top of this page will change with them, and continued use of the App after a change means you accept the revised terms.
12. Termination
This licence ends if you breach these terms. You may end it at any time by deleting the App. Sections 5, 8, 9 and 10 survive termination.
